A simply exquisite , rare and completely untreated/unheated blue Sapphire cabochon from Mogok in Burma weighing an impressive 1.46ct and set in this solid platinum setting. . The colour is an almost pure hue of medium blue, not too light and not too dark - and certified as the sought-after ‘cornflower’ blue of yore - just as blue sapphire should be - extremely lovely indeed. The gem a cabochon - is, like every cabochon, clearly included but please note that we are using a sophisticated macro lens, and the human eye simply cannot see many of these inclusions, particularly when the stone is face up.
