A Simply stunning Unheated 1.13ct Burma Ruby from the famed gem mines of Mogok in Burma (Myanmar). The colour of this magnificent gemstone is a purplish red, absolutely beautiful and absolutely typically Burmese. The first six pics have been taken indoor and the last five in the Bangkok sunlight. Bear in mind that the light in Chicago, as an example, may not be so bright this time of year! Clarity is *EXCEPTIONAL* for the genre and the stone is not only eye clean but also virtually (but not quite) loupe clean as well - almost unprecedented clarity in a Burma unheated ruby. Cutting is good and the stone has a large face for its weight, without major windowing. Lustre and brilliancy are both wonderful, and this is an extremely vibrant gem indeed.
