A simply exquisite unheated Blue Sapphire - an absolutely gorgeous unheated blue sapphire weighing 2.72ct. The Blue Sapphire, almost certainly from Sri Lanka, is a simply gorgeous light to medium hue, which at its best, like this example, shows extreme fire and vibrancy. Clarity of the sapphire is exceptional and the stone is eye clean. There is some minor diagonal colour zoning which our macro lens has highlighted, but this is not nearly as obvious when viewed with the naked eye. Cutting is good though the stone is on the deep side. The stone is completer unheated and untreated as per the attached mini certificate.
